Im not one to go and ask for money but a friend has cancer and the only way she is able to get better is for her to get stem cells. I told her I would try and do as much as I can to help her out and this is my way. Please if you can’t donate at least pass on the word. Please visit her site.
I’ve just graduated college and its been feeling a little strange. Many people are asking me what am I going to do now and honestly I don’t know. School is all ive ever known and now I have no clue what to do with my time. Some people have told me well now you will find a boyfriend, get married and have a kid. Others say school is the best option and I just feel like I can’t make up my mind. I wanna do what I want to do .. obviously I have no clue what I want right now but who said that you have to decide so fast… who said that you can’t try enjoy life and the majesty of all of it. Why is it that people sort of push you to do something and not just enjoy the moments that you are given. I’m not sure if its the american way of thinking that we just have to keep going.. keep doing something..always be busy.. but who ever said that was the best thing to do? I’ve met some spainards lately and most of them are so easy going… yes they are flamenco artists and they want to try to be better or be as perfect as they can yet when they are offstage they are totally different. There is one guy david coria, he is so amazing, ( look him up on youtube) he is so powerful,so fierce strong and dazzling while dancing but as soon as he gets off stage, he is a totally different. He seemed to be more relaxed and mellow it was so nice to see him just chill. But it wasn’t just him it was every spainard I met ( well with the exception of one) but all of them are so welcoming and here I just don’t see that. Also they were so incredibly friendly and so eager and willing to be here as to mention grateful that they were granted the opportunity to come here. I’m so very glad that they came here for more than a few reasons, the best of them all is how to enjoy life and blessing and to seep into the greatness of life. I just hope all that reading this just remember that you do have a great life… it may not be perfect.. it may not be the best thing you have imagined but it can be. You have the choice to make it wonderful and exciting, you have the power to do it, stop being a cowardly lion and be brave. Start by doing it one thing at a time or just one day at a time. Baby steps my friends..

Hernandez’s most famous work, Sun Mad Raisins, a satirical manipulation of a well known logo, stands as a powerful commentary against the exploitation of farm laborers.
Pilar Ogalla doing an alegrias. I can’t even express in words, well I should say fully on how beautiful flamenco is to me. There is something about the art form that utterly amazes me and its due to the powerfulness of it. Flamenco in my mind isn’t something that candy coated, it gets down to the nitty gritty by expressing extreme anger but with some dances it expresses the uttermost gleefulness. Flamenco is so important my life and lately I’ve been feeling mixed with it because of certain things. But yesterday while I was working backstage for this group called Yjastros I realized again why I love it so much. Its because of the pure excitement of being on stage and having all of your emotions expressed wither good or bad. And yes a whole lot of it is about technique which makes it gorgeous but to fully express yourself in an art form is incredibly beautiful.
